Since 2023 I am an Associate Dean at the School of Policy and Global Affairs. My remit is Employability, Engagement and Enterprise. I have also been acting AD for Research and Innovation (Jan-April 2025).

As AD for Employability, Engagement and Enterprise I lead the rolling out of the award-winning Undergraduate Career Activation Programme and the implementation of Graduate Attributes in all undergraduate modules in the school. I oversee six Level 4, 5 and 6 employability modules taught across all three departments in the school and I line-manage two employability lecturers. I introduced in the school the ‘festival of the professions’ - a period of intense student engagement with professionals - as a means to create a sustainable employability ecosystem in the school prioritising connections between students, academics and professionals. This initiative recently became a cornerstone of the university’s employability strategy.

I am also the lead partnership co-ordinator of the school. I launched a ‘practitioner in residence’ scheme forging links between academic researchers and practitioners and encouraging the co-production of research outputs.

In my role as Global Engagement lead, I have expanded the school’s international portfolio by launching innovative partnerships with institutions in Europe, Asia and the USA.
